Where: Ocala, Florida (base camp at Camp Kiwanis: http://www.marion.k12.fl.us/district/srm/kiwanis/index.cfm)

Why: To honor Belton d**es, who passed away while paddling recently, his friends and paddling buddies have decided to put together a paddling event and fundraiser. The proceeds of this fundraising paddling weekend will go to Team River Runners (http://www.teamriverrunner.org/), which is a non-profit organization that gives military veterans and their family members an opportunity to find health, healing, and new challenges through whitewater boating and other paddling sports.

Costs: Registration Fee-$150 per person, which includes 4 days of paddling and activities, lodging (either in a heated/AC dorm or tent camping), five catered meals (Breakfast-Sat, Sun and Mon/Dinner Sat and Sun), nightly entertainment (live music) and activites, river maps and descriptions and a t-shirt. Based on the facility acommodations, weather will not be a factor in the enjoyment or comfort of this trip. Indoor bathrooms with showers and hot water. Huge covered screened pavilion with fireplace that can easily sit (table and chairs) over 125 people. We will limit the registration to the first 125!

Rivers: Chose fron the subtropical, crystal clear waters of Juniper Springs or Alexander Springs, the mysterious, black water Ocklawaha or the blue, water, monkey hang out of Silver River. Most days you will be given a variety of rivers to chose from.
